Vulnerabilities and subjectivities of people diagnosed with and under treatment of hepatitis C

This study analyzes the vulnerabilities and subjectivities of users diagnosed with hepatitis C who are accompanied by an appropriated health center. This is a qualitative research that aims to expose also the ways of reaction during the treatment and the tackling of the medication adverse effects as the restrictions imposed by the disease. Differences in coping with the disease depend on the capacity of giving a new meaning to life and on the reorganization of subjectivities. The treatment is centered more on drug therapy than on the effects on life reorganization, an issue that deserves a critical eye, bearing in mind the integrality of health care.
