Analysis of the national scientific production on the work of nurses (1988-2014)

ABSTRACT

The study aims to analyze the scientific production on the work of nurse in Brazil, from 1988 to 2014. The database used was the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). We selected 222 articles, characterized by the year of publication, journal, theoretical-methodological approach and thematic area, seeking to identify changes in the work of the nurse. The results point to the introduction of new knowledges and technologies, with loss of autonomy, as well as deterioration of interpersonal relationships, suffering and work overload. It discusses the possible correlation of such processes with the changes in the organization and management of health systems in Brazil.
