About caring and being cared for in home care

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to highlight experiences of caring and being cared of and present the perspective of family caregivers about a Home Care Service. It is a case study that applies the cartography as ethos in the research field to capture experiences during home visits and the interviews with five caregivers. The empirical research analysis used Cutting Plans, of which Visibility Plans were applied as for reflexivity exercise. Otherness lived by caregivers and their responsibility overload are some expressions captured in the field of research that reveals the need to associate health services with social support services.
