The experience of planning and operationalizing the PMAQ-AB in the Acre State

This article is an experience report on the implementation process of evaluation of basic care in the state of Acre. 35 UBS were evaluated and 224 censuses conducted. It is organized from a brief characterization of the State and the health regions, planning and implementing evaluation. As a result two important aspects of this process stood out like the using of planning as a guiding and flexible toll, and institutional coordination as a mediator and reducing institutional conflicts. For the health teams, learning it was important to recognize the need for periodic reviews and planning.
