The present article demonstrates the final result of a research which has aimed to approach to a health service and analyzes the factors that contribute to the childhood's medicalization process on mental health, comprehending how related issues to the daily life of a child, become medical problems. Therefore, were analyzed the medical records of the children helped by the mental health service during the year of 2008, highlighting: initial demands, the presence of diagnosis and the adopted practices by the actors involved. It was possible to confirm the hypothesis that the medicalization is present on children's day-by-day, verifying that, for example, issues such as misbehavior being treated as a disease.
