[1] Daniel Cardoso Alves holds a MA in Environmental Science from the State University of Southwestern Bahia (UESB) and is Professor of Education at the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG). He is also a doctoral student in Education at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. In the past, he was General Director of Courses at the UESB, where he presided over investigations into fraudulent applications for quilombola quotas.
