the aim of the text is to present an analysis of the drugs decriminalization policy in Portugal, pointing out the main changes that occurred since the Law N. 30/2000 is out. It also presents arguments of the liberal northern American Congressman Gleen Greenwald in defense of the Portuguese policy and the Portuguese success obtained in the drugs post-decriminalization era.
