Quality of care indicators for delivery based upon mothers' satisfaction

The objectives of this study were to feature sociodemographic and clinic-obstetric factors of women from collective housing in delivery and to describe their satisfaction associated with the quality, access, and welcoming aspects of the service. A semi structured questionnaire in an obstetrics unit with 78 mothers chosen randomly by convenience was applied. The data was analyzed descriptively and produced the following main results: the majority of the women feel satisfied in relation to the service and quality of care, highlighting the attention, confidence and respect of the professionals. The minority that demonstrated dissatisfaction highlighted the delay in attendance and the difficulties or negligency in communication; as the language is difficult there is much information and misunderstandings in the content given. Such information was deemed relevant to provide other horizons in which these women can be heard with more profundity, women who, timidly, call for attention and well-being, indicating the meanings of humanization and improvement of care.
