The structure of databases, as well as the way that databases design their data model are objects of analysis in this article. Some types of databases like: bibliographical, directories, financial. numeric and full text are analyzed according to the different document typologies that compose them and the relation between their data model design. On these grounds, it defends the hypothesis that the bellerthe data model designed in relation with the different documental typologies, the higher the answer quality of database will be.
