In this article it is maintained that laughter has raised, at least in the Western World, since biblical times, both caution in social interaction and prestige as a therapeutical tool. In the XVIth century, in particular, the search for the nature of the laughable was promoted side by side with the recommendation that people should laugh in moderation out of urbanity and for physiological reasons.

O tópico do trabalho é o fenômeno denominado por Popper "efeito Édipo", e suas implicações para a epistemologia analítico-positivista, em particular para o Princípio de Unidade da Ciência. Com referência a Popper, a tese defendida é a de que ele não teve sucesso na tentativa de resolver as inconsistências geradas em sua obra pelo reconhecimento da possibilidade do "efeito Édipo" nas ciências humanas.

The theme of the paper is the phenomenon which Popper labelled `Oedipus effect', and its implications for the anlytical-positivist epistemology, especially for the Principle of the Unity of Science. As far as Popper is concerned, it is claimed that he was unsuccessful in his attempt to overcome the inconsistencies generated in his work by the acknowledgement of the possibility of the Oedipus effect in the human sciences.

Platão tem uma visão negativa da arte e da tragédia. A "irracionalidade" da prática artística está na base dessa negação. Sua visão é contrária ao perspectivismo humanista de Eurípedes e dos sofistas. Na filosofia renascentista, o sujeito observador (temporal e racional) pressupõe o múltiplo e o infinito. O perspectivismo está na base dessa orientação e Shakespeare é a melhor expressão artística desse pressuposto defendido na filosofia por Giordano Bruno.

Plato has a negative vision of art and of the tragedy. The "irrationality" of the artistic practice is in the base of that denial. His vision is contrary to the perspectivism humanist of Eurípede and of the sophists. In the renaissance philosophy the subject observer (temporary and rational) presuppose the multiple and the infinite. The perspectivism is in the base of that orientation and Shakespeare is the best artistic expression of that presupposition defended in the philosophy by Giordano Bruno.

A partir desses autores, pretendemos ler alguns exemplos que a história da humanidade nos apresenta para ilustrar o exercício dessa "cruel compaixão".

A partir de un poema póstumo de Paul Celan, el presente artículo analiza el dictum de Theodor W. Adorno sobre la imposibilidad de la lírica después de Auschwitz y busca determinar el impacto de tal proposición en la obra de Celan. Al mismo tiempo, indaga la recepción de la poesía de Celan en las ideas mismas de Adorno, particularmente en Negative Dialektik y Ästhetische Theorie. Por último, explora las paradojas de cualquier lenguaje poético que pretenda dar cuenta del Holocausto artísticamente.

From a posthumous poem by Paul Celan, this paper analyses Theodor W. Adorno's dictum about the impossibility of lyrical poetry after Auschwitz and try to define the influence of such proposition in Celan's work. At the same time, it inquires into the reception of Celan's poetry on Adorno's own ideas, especially on his Negative Dialektik and Ästhetische Theorie. Finally, it explores the paradoxes of every poetical language which pretend to express Holocaust artistically.

Propomo-nos a mostrar que a intuição tal como aparece no pensamento de Bergson é tanto uma faculdade de conhecimento que se opõe à inteligência quanto um método filosófico constituído por procedimentos racionais, os quais a propiciam e enriquecem. Nesse sentido, ambos os aspectos da intuição estão intimamente ligados, sendo cada um imprescindível à compreensão do outro.

Our purpose is to show that intuition, according to Bergson's thought, is both a knowledge faculty that opposes intelligence and a philosophical method constituted by rational procedures which provides and enriches it. Neste artigo, propõe-se uma configuração possível para a transição histórico-filosófica de temas investigados no domínio da metamatemática para o domínio da Ciência Cognitiva funcionalista neurocomputacional. A descrição de tal transição é feita por meio de uma breve análise das idéias de Post, Church, Gödel e Turing sobre a possibilidade de formalização do pensamento criador na matemática, enfatizando as contribuições deste último.

In this article, it is suggested a possible profile for the historical and philosophical migration of several issues from the metamathematical domain to the domain of functionalist neuro-computational Cognitive Science. The description of such a transition is accomplished by an analysis of the ideas of Post, Church, Gödel, and, in particular, Turing on the possibility of formalization of creative thinking in Mathematics.
