Work in question in the "depression epidemic"

The text argues that social suffering - particularly when manifest in the form of depression - is inherent to the current configuration of the world of work and affects the most diverse professional occupations, all of them marked by dissociation and overwork. Paradoxically in an era involving the overestimation of mental disturbances and the medicalization of society, suffering at work is expelled from the clinical, theoretical and political field.
