Este artigo procura analisar os efeitos perversos da apropriação pela esquerda de um tema definidor das tradições de direita, a saber, a diferença. Com base no caso Sears (EUA) e no caso Le Pen (França), o autor aponta para as armadilhas racistas e sexistas presentes nos discursos que focalizam e enfatizam a diferença, sobretudo num período histórico de reemergência dos conservadorismos que, por sua vez, se apropriam do argumento da diferença, dirigindo-o contra os próprios movimentos de esquerda.

This article aims to analyze the perverse effects that take place when the left makes as its the issue of difference, that is crucial, defining of rightist traditions. Based upon the Sears case (USA) and the Le Pen case (France), the author points up to the racist, and sexist traps ingrained in arguments that underline and focus difference, particularly in a time in History when conservative forces come up again, and reuse those arguments as though they were theirs, and now shoot them against leftist social movements.

Com base na observação etnológica de uma "avenida" do bairro da Liberdade, em Salvador, BA, o autor se propõe mostrar como as "subjetivações" dos indivíduos sobre sua condição e seu destino fazem sentido em relação à organização atual das famílias pobres e às posições distintas que homens e mulheres ocupam nesta organização familiar.

Based on systematic observation carried on on an alley in the poor Liberdade section of the city of Salvador, State of Bahia, the author wants to show how symbolic representations of the individuals about their condition and fate make sense when reported to the current organization of the poor, black families, and to the different positions that men and women occupy in such families.

No presente artigo, pretende-se determinar a significação dos movimentos sociais na construção de uma sociedade e de um Estado realmente democráticos na América Latina. Na primeira parte, uma sumária revisão crítica das concepções de Hegel, Marx, Lênin e Gramsci, sobre a relação entre a sociedade civil e o Estado, permite determinar o lugar dos movimentos na dinâmica social. Na segunda, mostra-se como, na América Latina, os movimentos sociais elaboram a identidade social dos setores subalternos e lhes permite exigir a representação democrática de seus interesses por parte do Estado e dos partidos.

This article intends to make clear the significance of social movements in the building of a real democratic society and State in Latin America. In the first part, a brief critical review of the thought of Hegel, Marx, Lenin and Gramsci, about the relation between the civil society and the State, allows us to identify where the movements are within the social dynamics. In the second part, it is shown as the Latin-American social movements work up the subordinate social segments'identity in order to have them free to demand their democratic representation related to their interests before the State and political parties.

O presente artigo procura desenvolver uma linha de interpretação que pretende reconstruir os acontecimentos de 68 e seus desdobramentos no Brasil, problematizando a questão da memória e do esquecimento. Estes acontecimentos, marcados por representações de vida e morte são explorados em dois registros: o de um passado que não se torna passado, dada a dificuldade de sua simbolização - no limite a experiência do terror como expressiva desta dificuldade de nomear a experiência; o da interdição mesma do passado - a anistia proposta a partir da restrição da investigação do passado e a prática de "normalização" da sociedade e da política no processo de transição.

This article tries to develop an approach, which intends to reconstruct the events of 68 and how they have unfolded in Brazil, focusing on the question of memory and forgetfulness. These events, which were marked by representations of life and death are explored in two registers: that of a past which does not become the past, due to the difficulty of its symbolization - at the limit, the experience of terror as the expressive difficulty of nominnanting the experience; that of the interdiction itself of the past - the amnesty proposed based on the restriction on the investigation of the past and the practice for "normalization" of the society and the politics in the transition process.

O artigo aponta a participação política diferenciada das mulheres brasileiras nos anos 60 e início dos 70, a favor ou contra a ditadura militar. São analisados dados estatísticos sobre a participação feminina nas organizações políticas clandestinas de esquerda em geral, e nos grupos guerrilheiros em particular. Esses contaram com a participação de várias mulheres, principalmente jovens intelectualizadas, ainda que em número muito inferior à participação masculina. A militância feminina nas organizações de combate armado à ditadura, mesmo que não se revestisse de caráter especificamente feminista, foi um momento de avanço na liberação da mulher, especialmente se essa militância for comparada com aquela das "mães-esposas-donas-de-casa" que se organizaram a favor do golpe de 1964.

This paper attempts to clarify the political participation of Brazilian women in the sixties and the beginning of the seventies. Their struggle took diferent ways, for or against the military dictatorship. The paper presents data about women's integration in left wing groups, specially in urban guerrilla. Many women have taken place of these groups, mainly young graduates and students, though there were many more men involved with armed struggle against the military government. Women's militancy in guerrilla organizations has not been properly feminist, but it meant a step towards women's liberation, particularly if compared with organized militancy of right wing women, who supported the military government, defending their traditional status of ives, mothers and housewives'.

Este ensaio procura proceder uma articulação entre os conceitos de "alienação" de Marx e o de "narcisismo" da psicanálise. E através desta articulação indicar: 1) que, do ponto de vista teórico, não existe uma radical incompatibilidade entre aquelas duas teorias; 2) que um aprofundamento da questão da estruturação mesma dos sujeitos, e, por extensão, do caráter das relações sociais sob condições capitalistas-mercantis, requer uma articulação entre uma história social e uma história individual (edípica), sem a qual se corre o risco de se assumir ou um reducionismo sociológico (sociologismo-objetivismo) ou um reducionismo psicológico (psicologismo-subjetivismo) em detrimento de uma dialética entre o subjetivo e o objetivo, entre o social e o psíquico.

This essay tries to develop an articulation between Marx's "alienation" concept and that of "narcisism" in psychoanalysis. Through this articulation it aims at showing: 1) that from the theoretical point of view, a radical incompatibility between those two theories does not exist; 2) that a deeper analysis of the structuring of the subjects, and by extension of the character of the social relationships under merchant-capitalist conditions, requires an articulation between the social history and the individual (oedipical) history, otherwise there is a risk of accepting, either a sociological reduccionism or a psychological reduccionism, with no consideration of the dialectics between the subjective and the objective, between the social and the psychic.

Este artigo busca retrabalhar alguns aspectos da crítica músico-sociológica de Theodor W. Adorno. Tem por base alguns parágrafos da Filosofia da nova música, em que Adorno analisa A Sagração da Primavera, de Igor Stravinsky. Aceita a premissa de que a Filosofia da nova música é um excurso da Dialética do Esclarecimento, e vai aos textos na procura de suas relações internas; daí o papel central da análise e da crítica do tema do sacrifício na Sagração. Trata-se, então, de averiguar na música de Stravinsky o sacrifício e suas múltiplas manifestações. Ao mesmo tempo, quer mostrar como esse sacrifício alinha-se à idéia de liquidacão do sujeito, recorrente na obra de Adorno. Por fim, aponta algumas premissas fundamentais da crítica de Adorno, procurando relacioná-la à obra músico-sociológica de Max Weber.

This article aims to rebuild some aspects of Th. W. Adorno's musical-sociological critique. The author starts from some paragraphs of Philosophy of Modern Music, where Adorno analyses Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. He takes for sure the premise that says Philosophy of Modern Music is quite a divagation through Dialectic of Enlightenment, and seeks for reaching their inner relations. The analysis and criticism of the theme of sacrifice in The Rite of Spring spots this point. The article goes on trying to find out whether that so-called sacrifice fits the idea of annihilation of subject repeated regularly in Adorno's work. At last, it is pointed up to some fundamental premises of Adorno's critique, by chasing after any relationship between Adorno's work and Weber's on Sociology of Music.

Defensores da educação laica e da educação religiosa têm marcado suas diferenças quanto à moralização infantil através dos efeitos que atribuem aos conteúdos da educação. O dispositivo de moralização laica do qual o discurso durkheirniano é sintoma permite formular a hipótese de que a relação entre os dois dispositivos pedagógicos pode ser de complementaridade e não de oposição.

Defenders of both lac and of confessional education have marked there differences with regard to child moralization by means of the effects they attribute to educational contents. Device of laic moralization - a symptom of which is to be found in the Durkheimian discourse - allows for the hypothesis that the two pedagogical devices may stend in a relation of complementarity rather than in one of opposition.
