Open-access The Secret Service and the culture of secrecy

In this paper we revisit the formation of intelligence services in Brazil and its adaptation to the culture of secrecy. We also evaluate how the existence of intelligence services within the armed forces have changed the strategy of action in the framework military built, using the example of the Marajoara campaign in Araguaia guerrilla.
