Anais do Museu Paulista: História e Cultura Material seeks to publish not only contributions from historians but also texts produced by anthropologists, sociologists, architects, geographers, ethnologists, archeologists, museologists, and documentalists, among others.

Its abbreviated title is An. mus. paul., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
