Basic Information

Bakhtiniana - Journal of Discourse Studies, in electronic format, bilingual (Portuguese & English), was created by the Graduate program in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo/LAEL-PUCSP and the members of the Language, Identity and Memory Research Group/CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) in 2008. The journal’s mission is to promote and to publicize research on discourse studies.

Every four months it publishes papers, book reviews, debates and conference reports written by professors and graduate students.

Its abbreviated title is Bakhtiniana, Rev. Estud. Discurso, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, and bibliographical references and strips.
