The CBAB - CROP BREEDING AND APPLIED BIOTECHNOLOGY is the official quarterly journal created in 2001 by Brazilian Association of Plant Breeding (www.sbmp.org.br).

It aims to publish original scientific articles, only in English, which contribute to the scientific and technological development of plant breeding and agriculture.

CBAB publishes, besides articles, other text forms, such as Review, Notes, Plant breeding programs, Release of cultivars, Book review, Viewpoint and Letters, all of them in English language and equally subjected to the discretion of ad hoc reviewers.

Its abbreviated title is Crop Breed. Appl. Biotechnol. (Online) which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
