Aim and editorial policy
Eclética Química publishes original research contributions covering all aspects of Chemistry including education and history of chemistry. Articles, Communications and Reviews can be published. There is no limit in the number of pages.
Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Upon acceptance of an article by the journal, the authors will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher.
Communications should be submitted if referring to reports of unusual urgency and significance of interest. The contributions should not exceed 1500 words or the equivalent and may occupy no more than 3 pages of the Journal.
The Editor seeks the advice of experts in the research areas of the submitted
manuscripts. Referees should estimate the scientific value of the work
and also indicate whether the writing is clear and concise. The Editor
accepts full responsibility for decisions about typescripts.
Preparation of originals
Language: papers will be published in Portuguese or English.
Manuscript preparation: only electronic submissions are accepted. Authors are requested to submit their contribution by e-mail to email@example.com. Microsoft Word software is suggested for the preparation of the manuscript. Authors are urged to arrange the subject matter under such headings as Introduction, Experimental details, Results and Discussions, Conclusions, Acknowledgments and References. All contributions should include a concise, informative Abstract and a maximum of five Keywords.
References should be numbered consecutively (in square brackets) throughout the text and collected together in a reference list at the end of the paper. The following style should be adopted:
 A. T. Adorno, A. E. Mauro, A. V. Benedetti, Eclet. Quim. 28(1) (2003)
All illustrations and tables should be numbered consecutively and collected on separate sheets after the end of the text. The position of each figure and table must be indicated in the text.
Nomenclature, abbreviations and symbols should follow the recommendations
of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
