Hoehnea is a peer-revewed scientific journal published by Instituto de Botanica, since 1972, It superceded Archivos de Botânica de São Paulo. Hoehnea publishes original articles, reviews and scientific notes on all aspects of plant and fungal sciences, in Portuguese, Spanish or English. The journal name honors botanist Frederico Carlos Hoehne, founder and first director of Instituto de Botânica. The journal is available online on open access, since volume 32 at: http://www.ibot.sp.gov.br/publicacoes/hoehnea/hoehnea.php

Its abbreviated title is Hoehnea, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
