The Journal of Applied Oral Science is a continuation of the Revista da Faculdade de Odontologia de Bauru. The Journal is published every 2 months in February, April, June, August, October and December by the Bauru School of Dentistry, University of São Paulo.

The Revista da Faculdade de Odontologia de Bauru was published between 1993-2001 and continued from 2002 as the Journal of Applied Oral Science, volume 11, # 1, and kept the numbering sequence of the former.

The main goal of the Journal of Applied Oral Science is to publish results from original research as well as invited case reports and invited reviews in the field of Dentistry and related sciences areas.

Its abbreviated title is J. Appl. Oral Sci., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

The Journal of Applied Oral Science reserves the copyright ownership of every published manuscript, including translations from published material. The journal allows, however, posterior reproduction and transcription of published material upon proper citation of the source.

The agreement with this item implies:

Copyright transfer: In the event of publication of the above mentioned manuscript, we, the authors, transfer to the Journal of Applied Oral Science all rights and interest of the manuscript. This document applies to translations and any preliminary presentation of the contents of the manuscript that has been accepted, but yet not published. If any authorship modification occurs after submission, a document of agreement of all authors is required to be kept by the Editor-in-Chief. Exclusion of authors may only be accepted by his/her own request.
