JBCS - the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society - is a formal quarterly publication of the Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (Brazilian Computer Society), Brazil.

Published since 1994, the journal follows the former RBC: Revista Brasileira de Computação.

Its aim is to publish original research papers, serving as a forum for disseminating innovative research in all aspects of computer science. The priorities of the journal are quality and timeliness.

J. Braz. Comp. Soc. is the journal's short title that should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, and bibliographical references and strips.

Permission to copy without fee all or part of the material published in the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society is granted provided that the copies are not made or distributed for commercial advantage, and that notice is given that copying is by permission of the Sociedade Brasileira de Computação.
