Motriz. Revista de Educação Física. UNESP. It is a quarter journal, arbitrated and index-linked, published by the Physical Education Department, Bioscience Institute, from the campus of Rio Claro, São Paulo State University, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The Journal was launched in 1995 and had Prof. Dr. Benedito Sérgio Denadai, Mauro Betti e Suraya Cristina Darido as its creators and first Editors. Between its launch and 2001 it presented a termly publication, having about 15 original articles published a year. Between 2002 and 2005 it started to be quarterly, having about 25 original articles published a year. From 2006 on, because of the expressive increase of the qualified demand and the goal of getting the indexation in basis of a greater impact, MOTRIZ started to publish 4 numbers a year, with about 40 articles in each volume. The first considerable basis of indexation (LILACS) of MOTRIZ happened in April 17, 2008. Lately, in 2009, it was indexed in ISI-Web of Science, one of the most important international basis. In 2010 MOTRIZ was approved for indexation in SCIELO. MOTRIZ adopts the philosophy of "open access", permitting the free and unrestricted access to its content. It also adopts the policy of self-filing through the on-line submission of the originals from its own work author(s). From 2008 on all the submissions of the originals started to be posted exclusively in SEER System. The main goal of MOTRIZ is to contribute to the discussion and the development of knowledge in Human Movement and correlative areas. Motriz accepts the submission of manuscripts from professionals and researchers of all areas involved in Human Moviment Sciences, such as: Physical Education and Sports; Physiotherapy; Special Education; Sports Psychology; Biomechanics; Biodynamics; Sports Training; Physical Activity; Morphology and Health; Control and Coordination of Motor Skills; Body, Modernity and Post-Modernity; Exercise Physiology and Endocrine-Metabolic Physiology; School Physical Education; Emotion and Movement; Professional Formation and Work Market; Alternative Movement Practices, among others, as long as the themes are relevant to this target.Its abbreviated title is Motriz: rev. educ. fís. (Online), which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips. |
