Basic information

Pró-Fono Revista de Atualização Científica (ISSN 0104-5687 – printed version; ISSN 1679-3919 – digital version - CD) was funded by two speech-language pathologists, Heliane Campanatti-Ostiz and Maria Valéria Schmidt Goffi Gómez, in 1989.  The Journal was published semiannually until 2001, every four months till 2006 and since then it has been published every three months.

Aim: to preferably publish original research articles that significantly contribute to the development of knowledge within the field of the Speech, Language and Hearing Science. Other categories accepted for publication are: Reviews and Systematic Reviews, Case Reports, Book Reviews, Commentaries, Letters to the Editor, Research Letters, Clinical Reminders, Fillers/Special Sections, Conference Reports, Websites.

Its abbreviated title is Pró-Fono R. Atual. Cient., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.

The authors declare themselves as owners of the copyrights of the submitted articles, and give permission to the Editorial Department of Pró-Fono to commercialize, edit and publish their manuscript in a printed or electronic version, in a number and volume of the Journal to be determined by the Editorial Department.

The authors compromise themselves in guaranteeing the use of the manuscript by the Editorial Department of Pró-Fono, which in turn can explore the article in its editions with exclusive rights, including the permission to publish the full address of the first author. The authors also compromise themselves in not giving authorization to a third party to transcribe or translate part or the full text without the expressive authorization of the Editorial Department. Anyone who breaks this determination will have to answer according to the law.
