The Produção Journal (Production Journal), ISSN 0103-6513, is a Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (ABEPRO) publication. It was created in 1990 in order to provide a communication medium for academic articles in the Production Engineering field.

Since 2002, the Production Engineering Department of Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (PRO/EPUSP) is responsible for the editorial process of Produção Journal, sponsored by Carlos Alberto Vanzolini Foundation (FCAV).

Revista Produção has the tradition of eighteen published volumes and Qualis "B2" evaluation by CAPES in the Engineering III area. For Brazilian academic community it is a top journal in Production Engineering field.

The scope of Produção Journal encompasses 10 areas of Production Engineering according to ABEPRO, which is:

1. Production Management;
2. Quality Management;
3. Economic Management;
4. Ergonomics and Work Safety;
5. Product Management;
6. Operations Research;
7. Organizational and Strategic Management;
8. Organizational Knowledge Management;
9. Environmental Management;
10. Production Engineering Teaching.

Since 2003, Produção Journal publishes special issues on different topics of interest of Production Engineering community.

Produção Journal has interest in original articles, which represents a significant contribution from both empirical research and theoretical/conceptual development in Production Engineering field.

During the review process, the manuscript cannot be submitted for publication elsewhere.

The official language of this journal is Portuguese but contributions can be also submitted in English or Spanish.

Produção Journal is directed to academics and professionals working in the Production Engineering field.

Produção journal publishes four issues per year (March, June, September and December).

The abbreviated title of this journal is Prod. and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
