The editorial line of RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas

Mission
The mission of RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas is to encourage the production and dissemination of knowledge about business administration.

Focus
RAE is interested in publishing papers that are theoretical in their development, empirical works and essays.

We accept contributions from both Brazil and abroad in the fields of business administration and related areas. We encourage a wide range of approaches and views.

As a journal of general interest in the business administration area it covers a broad spectrum of sub-areas of knowledge, perspectives and issues.

Submission
Works must be sent to the Editorial Office by Internet using the SGP (Publications Management System), access to which is via the Author and Reviewer Space at www.fgv.br/rae.

Papers may be submitted in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French, observing the format and standardization norms defined in our Writing Manual. Before authors submit their work to the Editorial Office we recommend they also consult Guidance for Authors that has considerations on positioning, style and structure. The Writing Manual and Guidance for Authors can also be accessed via the Author and Reviewer Space at www.fgv.br/rae.

Originality and exclusivity
Papers submitted for publication in RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas must be original, hitherto unpublished and not being considered by any other publication.

Review
There are two stages in the review process for papers that are submitted to RAE-Revista de Administração de Empresas for publication: a preliminary review, which examines whether the work is in line with the journals editorial policy and its potential for publication, including taking into consideration the editorial space available; and a double blind review.

The double blind review is coordinated by a scientific editor from the submission area and consists in interaction between the authors and two specialist commentators who after reviewing the work make comments and offer improvement suggestions. This stage involves continuous re-assessments, uniting efforts behind improving the papers. In order to familiarize themselves with the requirements that are taken into consideration by the commentators we suggest that authors consult the model forms that are available in the Author and Reviewer Space at www.fgv.br/rae. Editors regularly add their own editorial advice to the suggestions of the reviewers, the objective of which is to ensure the paper meets the journals standards of excellence.

Preparation for publication
After the paper as been approved it is submitted for final editing and a spelling and grammar review.

Copyright
The copyright of the papers accepted for publication, including those that are translated, become the property of FGV-EAESP/RAE-publications. Partial citation of the papers published is allowed, without prior authorization, provided that the source is identified. It is forbidden to reproduce the papers in full. If in doubt please consult the editorial office (raeredacao@fgv.br).
