Revista CEFAC was created in 1999 by the Professor Doctors: Irene Queiroz Marchesan and Jaime Luiz Zorzi, directors of CEFAC - SAÚDE E EDUCAÇÃO. The materialization of this old idea took place in commemorating the 15 years of CEFAC’s existence and it was just possible thanks to the tenacity and partnership of those that always believed in Speech Therapy, in producing and disclosing new knowledge. All the articles published in Revista CEFAC are on-line with open access, available in integral text and with no burden for any reader, and up to now it is the sole magazine in Speech Therapy to adopt such policy.

Revista CEFAC has as mission to record the scientific production on themes relevant for Speech Therapy, Education and correlate areas that bring out contributions for the magazine’s focus, searching to motivate the continuous education of researcher, academic professors and doctors, by publishing scientific works in these areas. The target-audience is made up of speech therapists, psychopedagogues, psychologists , psychologists, professors, dentists doctors.

The abbreviation of its title is Rev. CEFAC, that should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and in bibliographical references and legends.
