Rem: Revista Escola de Minas is one of the oldest technical journals in South America. It was founded in January 1936, by students of Escola de Minas de Ouro Preto, and it is specialized in publishing articles related to Civil Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy & Materials and Mining.

Its objective is to report technical and scientific works of national and foreign researchers in these fields. Rem: Revista Escola de Minas has continuously supported several organizations (IBRAM, Sociedade Brasileira de Geoquímica [Brazilian Society of Geochemistry], student's organizations, etc.) reporting their works, events, etc.

The abbreviated title Rem: Rev. Esc. Minas should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
