Form and preparation of manuscripts
|
1- The Brazilian Review of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology (RESR) accepts original articles only. The submitted manuscript can not have been published previously, is not being published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. In a cover letter, the author(s) must state that the manuscript contains no copyright infringements, that its submission gives SOBER exclusive copyright and publishing rights, and that SOBER controls future reproduction rights for the entire article or any portion therein. 2- To protect their anonymity in the review process, the author(s) should not identify themselves within the manuscript. The author(s) should attach a separate page which includes the author(s) name(s), appropriate biographical information, and manuscripts title. 3- The manuscript must be organized, as much as possible, as follows: Title (maximum, 17 words), Abstract (maximum, 200 words), Introduction, Methodology, Empirical Analysis, Conclusions, and References. Key Words, including relevant words, phrases, or words included in the title, should be inserted after the Abstract section. 4- The text must be double-spaced (all material including footnotes, tables, and references) on standard size paper (A4) with at least one-inch margins. Use a standard-size typeface (Times New Roman, 12 font size). RESR does not ordinarily consider any manuscript for publication which exceeds twenty double-spaced pages, including footnotes, tables, figures, and references. 5- The author(s) must document their data sources, models, and estimation procedures as thoroughly as possible. Only essential mathematical notation should be included. Number footnotes consecutively throughout the paper, and use them only when necessary. References noted in the body of the manuscripts text should appear in an author, date of publication format and should be listed alphabetically at the end of the article. Include only those references cited in the article. 6- The author(s) must submit four legible manuscript copies to RESRs editor (see address below). 7- Each article will be submitted to three referees for review. If one referee rejects the article, RESRs editor will make the decision regarding publication. RESR will not publish articles rejected by two or three referees. 8- The author(s) of approved articles should proceed with revisions (if necessary) and send the editor two printed copies (English and Portuguese) and a disk copy with the two language versions of the article in a popular word processing format, such as Word for Windows. 9- No responsibility for the views expressed by authors and reviewers in the Brazilian Review of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology is assumed by the editor or by the publisher (SOBER). |
