The Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem (RLAE) is the official scientific publication of the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, Brazil, WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Research Development. Its mission is to publish scientific research results in nursing and other areas of interest for health professionals. This Journal is published in Brazil and circulates bimonthly in different countries around the world. Its first issue was published in January 1993. The printed version is issued in English and the electronic version in Portuguese, Spanish and English. RLAE is affiliated with the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors – ABEC and indexed in the most important national and international databases.

The abbreviated title of the journal is Rev. Latino-Am. Enfermagem, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
