Pseudotumor orbitário

Orbital pseudotumor

RESUMO

Os autores apresenta sua experiência em 10 casos de pseudotumor orbitário, processo inflamatório idiopático que apresenta maior incidência em mulheres e evolui com proptose leve ou moderada e dor. A tomografia computadorizada mostrou a forma de miosite em 5, acometimento difuso em 2 e lesão restrita à glândula lacrimal em 3 pacientes.

A recessão cirúrgica deve ser indicada nos casos restritos à glândula lacrimal. Os demais casos merecem tratamento conservador à base de esteróides.

SUMMARY

The authors report 10 cases of idiopathic inflamatory orbital pseudotumors. The literature is review. Clinical manifestations and computerized tomography images are analysed.

Surgical ressection have to be indicated in tire cases restrict to lacrimal gland therapy with steroids is useful in the others cases.
