Resumos

Foram determinados os achados eletrencefalográficos intercríticos que têm valor para o prognóstico das crises epilépticas em 29 pacientes com síndrome de Lennox-Gastaut. Verificou-se que a presença dos complexos ponta-onda lenta com predomínio, em amplitude e/ou incidência, das pontas e a inalterabilidade da morfologia dos complexos durante o seguimento longitudinal, apesar dos tratamentos introduzidos, são de mau prognóstico.

The electroencephalographic findings observed in twenty-nine pacients with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome were related with prognosis of the epileptic manifestations. The presence of slow spike-wave complexes with preponderance of spike over the slow wave and the presence of fixed complexes in spite of the medical treatment are related with poor prognosis for the epileptic manifestations.

RESUMO

Foram determinados os achados eletrencefalográficos intercríticos que têm valor para o prognóstico das crises epilépticas em 29 pacientes com síndrome de Lennox-Gastaut. Verificou-se que a presença dos complexos ponta-onda lenta com predomínio, em amplitude e/ou incidência, das pontas e a inalterabilidade da morfologia dos complexos durante o seguimento longitudinal, apesar dos tratamentos introduzidos, são de mau prognóstico.

SUMMARY

The electroencephalographic findings observed in twenty-nine pacients with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome were related with prognosis of the epileptic manifestations. The presence of slow spike-wave complexes with preponderance of spike over the slow wave and the presence of fixed complexes in spite of the medical treatment are related with poor prognosis for the epileptic manifestations.
