VECINO, MARIA CECÍLIA DE et al. Neurologic alterations in patients submitted to liver transplantation: analysis of 30 consecutive cases. Arq. Neuro-Psiquiatr. [online]. 2000, vol.58, n.2A, pp.304-309. ISSN 1678-4227. http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0004-282X2000000200017.
Neurologic complications are important source of morbi-mortality, in liver transplantation. They result from previous factors, alterations during the surgical procedure, effects from immunosuppresor drugs, coagulopathy and infections. We analyzed, retrospectively, the chronology, causes, and frequencies of neurologic alterations in thirty adult patients submitted to liver transplantation, and our results differ slighty from those registered in other series.
