The effect on cotton yield of fused phosphates "fertiminas", foscal, fosleucal and foscadu was compared with that of plain superphosphate in two types of soil in the State of São Paulo (Brasil). The best response of cotton plants to phosphorus was obtained with plain superphosphate and the worst with foscal. "Fertiminas", fosleucal and foscadu had an intermediate effect.
