This article examines a part of Walras' work: the papers published in the Journal des Économistes between 1860 and 1865. These papers are among the first ones published by Walras and are little known. They reveal some of the decisive subjects of his latter writings. In a dialog with the important interpretations of Jaffé, Schumpeter and Mirowski, the article seeks to provide a new perspective about central aspects of Walras' work.
