DAVEL, Eduardo e VIANNA, Luiz Gustavo Libório. Management-creation: inseparable processes in a theater practices. Rev. Adm. Pública [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.4, pp. 1081-1099. ISSN 0034-7612. http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0034-76122012000400009.
Management and creation have been historically, implicitly and traditionally considered antagonistic processes. Whereas management is often defined as organizing and control process, creation is commonly understood as a process involving difference and disorder in order to achieve something new. This research seeks to provide us with knowledge for reconsidering this antagonistic situation. Thus, we examine the relationship between management and creation in the context of working practices in a theatre. As we analyze systematically these practices capitalizing on self-ethnographic method, we conclude that management and creation are inseparable processes in practice. Implications occasioned by this inseparability are presented and discussed under organizational theory enlightenment.
