the work analyzes the importance of the culture of fruits as alternative for increasing the income of familiar agriculture, in the context of financial granted by PRONAF. The results had evidenced that the financial resource was the variable that more limited the choice of the farmers. Passion fruit, guava and sugar apple had been identified as the best economic alternatives for the familiar farmers of the region. The analysis allowed to conclude that the concession of the credit, by the PRONAF, contributes for the best use of the resources, for the attainment of bigger income, as well as for the generation of jobs.
