Abstract
ROBERTO, Sergio Ruffo et al. 'Black star': a natural somatic mutation from table grape cv. Brazil. Rev. Bras. Frutic. [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.3, pp. 947-950. ISSN 0100-2945. http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0100-29452012000300040.
The fine table grape 'Black Star', originated from a somatic mutation of the grape cv. Brasil in Marialva, PR, is described here as their main physico-chemical and productive characteristics. Its berries have elongated ellipsoid shape with dark red color tending to black during the full maturation. The cycle, the production performance and the susceptibility to fungal diseases is similar to the cv. Italia. During the full maturation, it has an average content of soluble solids of 14ºBrix, 0.6% of tartaric acid and maturation index of 21. This is a new cultivar of fine table grape with cultivation potential in Brazil.
