Abstract: The article analyzes partial data from a survey made with young Catholics in parishes and young people Pentecostal Churches in the Baixada Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro. The survey also discussed representation of politics and notions of development. The purpose of this article is to introduce elements that favor the outline of the profile of religious youth; provide understanding on ways of identity construction and even youth behavioral aspects such as sexuality and drugs. The results indicate similarities and differences of these young people in the two segments analyzed, and when compared to metropolitan youth in general.
