This article aims at presenting a proposal for teaching teachers based on the historical-critical pedagogy. It presents three basic aspects: knowledge of the school curriculum and methods of teaching; knowledge of dialectic; construction of a new ethical-political attitude. The proposal is based on the five steps as suggested by Saviani: social practice; problem setting; acquisition of the contents as instruments of action; catharsis and social practice.
