The text points out the fact that the commitment of the linguist engaged with indigenous societies, can't be, on the contrary to the generalized belief, the elaboration of the descriptions of the indigenous languages, since the descriptions aren't essential to the process of creation of the written traditions to old languages considered unwritten.
