Abstract
ASPIS, Renata Pereira Lima. The philosophy teacher: the teaching of philosophy in high school as a philosophical experience. Cad. CEDES [online]. 2004, vol.24, n.64, pp. 305-320. ISSN 0101-3262. http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0101-32622004000300004.
The teaching of philosophy to youngsters in school is justified if it teaches the creation of concepts that help them to solve their problems. There is no split between philosophy and philosophizing. The teaching of philosophy should be the production of philosophy as taught by philosophers; thus, the teacher of philosophy should be a philosopher. The teaching of the philosophic discipline in thought results in producing philosophic parameters which enable the youngster to create to himself and to the world in an original and autonomous way.
