The aim of this study is to discuss the relationship between professional soccer and education in Brazil. In the last six years, this country exported abroad a total of 6.648 soccer players. Among these players, 3.593 (or 54%) went to Europe. We believe that we are dealing with an agency that recruits young male, generally from the lowest social strata, to play in internal or external soccer market. Besides, it configures a kind of business that supports an industry of professional formation, that may be in competition against basic schooling of these young athletes which dream about being professional soccer players.
