This research work presents results aiming to understand the relationship between teaching path and Physical Education legitimation processes in Early Childhood Education considering different scopes and dimensions: in the Florianópolis Municipal Public School Education Network (FMPSEN); In the voices of teachers who work in the FMPSEN institutions; and c) in the teaching identity construction and reconstruction. The data were produced through semi-structured interviews, carried out with two Physical Education teachers who are at different moments and temporarily away from professional actuation in Early Childhood Education. The unique narrative of each teacher trace the trajectory of fight for a space for Physical Education in the FMPSEN, but also within the institution and refers to a set of efforts for Physical Education recognition by the community, especially through studies in continuing education groups offered by the FMPSEN and independent groups organized by teachers themselves.
