The genus Psalistopoides Mello-Leitão, 1934, previously a junior synonym of Pselligmus Simon, 1892, is revalidated. Psalistopoides fulvimanus Mello-Leitão, 1934 is redescribed and new distribution records are presented. In addition, P. emanueli sp. nov. is described from the State of Paraná, Brazil.
