A comparative study of morbidity and mercury levels in scalp hair between Dentists and Physicians was performed. The results showed significant higher number of cases of renal and digestive health problems and signs and symptoms related to the nervous system among the Dentists, what can be associated to mercury exposition. No statistical differences in mercury levels in scalp hair was found, possibly due to recent improvemensts in the working processes of Dentists.
