In a caatinga area, located in Agrestina (Lat. 8º27'28"S; Long. 35º57'13"W) - PE were identified 13 species of Bryophyte, distributed in the following families Frullaniaceae, Lejeuneaceae, Ricciaceae - Hepaticopsida - Bryaceae, Dicranaceae, Ephemeraceae, Fissidentaceae, Leucobryaceae, Pottiaceae e Stereophyllaceae - Bryopsida. Cololejeunea minutíssima (Sm.) Schiffn. and Riccia brasiliensis Schiffn. are new records for the Northeast region, while Frullania dusenii Steph. represents a new record for the Pernambuco State.
