Abstract

A survey of parmelioid eciliate lichen species occurring on rocky shores, from the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina, revealed the presence of twelve species in the following genera: Canoparmelia (1), Hypotrachyna (2), Parmotrema (4), Pseudoparmelia (1) and Xanthoparmelia (4). New records are Parmotrema mordenii and Xanthoparmelia subramigera for Paraná and Santa Catarina, Pseudoparmelia cubensis and Xanthoparmelia catarinae for Paraná, and Hypotrachyna osseoalba, Parmotrema dactylosum and P. endosulphureum for Santa Catarina. An identification key, descriptions, comments and illustrations are provided.
