The insertion of disabled children in regular schools has been a challenge. The parents do not feel secure to have their children in regular schools and many schools do not feel prepared to work with the student who have special needs. Caregivers, in general, recognize the importance of school education in their child's development, but show unconfident as they become aware of the unpreparedness of the regular school to receive their child. As we consider this background and recognize the caregivers as important support for school insertion, we propose this study to investigate factors perceived by the caregivers, which hinder the inclusion of disabled children in the regular school. This is a quantitative descriptive study. Results reveal that the most difficult factors for the insertion of exceptional children in regular schools are lack of teachers' qualification, school unpreparedness and lack of a support assistant.
