Abstract

SOUZA, Jessé. Man, citizen: ethics and modernitiy in Weber. Lua Nova [online]. 1994, n.33, pp. 135-143. ISSN 0102-6445.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0102-64451994000200010.

The attention given by Max Weber to the growing importance of the subjetive dimension of the moral question in the modern world allows him to deal with the relationships between the "citizen" (the public moral subject) and the "man" (the private moral subject) against the background of a radical redefinition of the figure of the moral subject.
