Abstract

ARANTES, Esther Maria de Magalhães; LOBO, Lília Ferreira  and  FONSECA, Tânia M. Galli. Thinking: what is it destined for? Differenent times of a reflection upon the announced death of educators. Psicol. Soc. [online]. 2004, vol.16, n.1, pp. 50-68. ISSN 1807-0310.  http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0102-71822004000100005.

The article questions the current Post-Graduation evaluation criteria, which emphasizes article publications and indexed magazines. It has led to a depreciation of the educator. When not valuing other activities such as teaching, orientation, organization of events, participation in debates, extension works, participation in examining boards etc, and when not considering important the publications towards a larger public, or even book publications, Post-Graduation evaluation tends to define, in a limited way, what is academic productivity.

Keywords : evaluation; teaching; academic productivity.
