This article is a report of a supervised internship in Social Psychology and it aims at discussing the theoretical and methodological possibilities of the psychologist's work in a Human Rights Center and the role this professional plays in this political environment. It is presented a conceptual review of the semiotic mediation as a work method and a tool based on Vygotski's theory. He understands that the psychological phenomenon only takes place as it is mediated. Along the internship, 96 people, victims of human rights violation were seen and, in all cases, the lack of information on support networks in order to search for a solution or report the problems was observed.
